driving lights suggestions

I'm nixxing my euro bulb install (& euro lights for that matter) in 
favor of auxillary driving lights/head lights.

Suggestions?Experiences?Brands to avoid?

I certainly want to avoid blinding my fellow drivers.  I also want a 
good pattern ahead (obviously), and the ability to use them w/parking 
lights.
