Clacking isn't official until it happens after 2 minutes at 3000
rpm at oil temperatures above 80C.
Are they _all_ clacking? Could be an incorrect head gasket blocking
the feed oilway. Only a few? Were the oilways cleaned out while
the head was off? Was a proper 'deep reach' spring compressor used
to release the collets, or have the sides of the lifter shaft been
scored by the use of an inappropriate valve spring compressor?
Exhaust 'tick' is a different noise.
