Now _that_ was a good clock. It was also specified for the 1979
Scirroco GLi, but VW unilaterally changed my order from 'GLi' to 'GTi'
and thought I'd be pleased. I wasn't - the GLi had the tach-sized
clock, and the GTi had a tach with a dumb little LCD clock in the
middle.
I commented that I could judge engine revs by ear, but had trouble
judging the time of day the same way. If there's one thing that cries
out for analogue display, it's time. Every time I look at the ur-q's
digital clock I wind up doing mental arithmetic.
