5KCS Foot Heat
I've got a 5K CS Climate Control question that I have not seen covered
before...
The CC works fine (after some vacuum line clean-up) for summer and fall
type stuff. Center vents working, temp control OK all that.
Now that it is occassionally sort of cold (teens at 20's at least) the
heat to the foot well area does not seem to work in econo or auto or
bi-level over the long haul.
At first, when warming the car up, the system seems to do OK, at least
it is putting out a bunch of hot air as soon as the engine temp get warm
enough. But after it reaches the temp setting, relatively cool air only
seems to flow.
Perhaps I am just used to the "dumb" climate controls, where you can
manually direct a stream of hot air down to the foot well...but I can't
find a setting that will get warm air coming out of those bottom foot
well vents. I understand the system giving priority to the windsheild
at first, but especially on bi-level I would have expected some heat
coming out down below...
Is this just the winter version of "my center vents doen't work" or does
this system never really put much air down in the foot wells?
TIA
Steve
