RE: Flushing the Anti-Freeze



The Bentley for the 4k/QTC also states that the hose at the back of the
engine and the short section of hose near the heater housing should be
removed.  This does do a pretty good job of getting the fluids out ... and
the thermostat doesn't have to be open for it to work.  

What I usually do is to draing whatever I can from the system and refill it
with distilled water.  I run the engine long enough to open the thermostat
and have the heater valve open.  I usually repeat this procedure once more
before filling with coolant and distilled water.
