fs: 4kq audi (fwd)
someone sent me this, so I thought I'd pass it along. Seems like
something someone could check out and possibly want. looks like they are
gouging him a little on the repair estimates. Could be a good car for
someone.
No interest, all disclaimers, yaddddda yada.

Hi! I noticed (thanks to altavista) that you are a fan of '87 audi 4000cs
quattros. I have one that I've driven for years, which is in good but not great
condition, and which I do not have the money to maintain. I wonder if you know
anyone who might be interested in purchasing it, or if you have any idea what I
might do with it?
Below is a classified I put on an internet newsgroup.
Thanks in advance!

'87 Audi Quattro 4000CS (four-wheel drive)
134K miles
Manual transmission
Four doors
Heat, A/C, radio, cassette, cruise control, onboard mileage/gas computer
Power windows, power sunwindow in ceiling
Tires replaced less than a year ago
This car is a luxury car, but I did not have the money to maintain it well.
Here are all the problems with the car, and their estimated repair costs
(from Pro-Tech car repair in Urbana).
exhaust pipe is loose: $600
the three non-driver door handles are broken: $175
the trunk won't stay open: $50-$100
battery needs replacing: $70
power antenna doesn't open all the way: $150
some dashboard lights don't work: $50-$125
minor tire leak: $10
Some of these things don't necessarily need repairing; the radio still works
well without the fully open antenna, and the most important door handle (the
driver's) works fine.
The engine, car body, windows, sunwindow, and everything else not mentioned
above are in excellent shape. The car drives well. I have to sell it because
I'm going to Chicago for clinical med school rotations, and the car won't be
useful to me anymore.
Asking $1200.
