Re: Dealer dis-service award- Valley Motors
Before this thread is REALLY kicked to death, I'll add
Park Audi in Lawrence, MA.
My first experience with my "new" '95 A6QW was not too bad.
The day I drove it home, the check engine light came on.
Brought it back, they quickly found/fixed the hose that had
slipped off. No charge.
The second problem is the ongoing one that I finally saw an
Audi rep about. Besides the noxious amount of sulphur coming
out my tailpipe (ask anyone behind me on the way to Mt. Wash.),
the 3->4 shift flares a lot, sometimes getting to 5000 RPM.
The managers actual reply to this: "DRIVE is not for driving.
Do not shift out of 3rd until you are up to speed on the highway."
The Audi rep got a laugh out of that, not so much when I said
they should sanction the dealership for giving out such advice.
He also claimed that *ever* 01A tranny does this. So far, out
of a sample of thousands, Audi has found one. Mine.
