Diesel turbos, for sure.  Betcha they're for the turbodiesel hummers; I 
know Hummer came out with a TD Hummer a couple years ago.  Uncle Sam 
probably bought a few too many replacement turbos.  The only other thing I 
can think of  are piston aviation engines, but not much in our modern-day 
military uses those engines anymore :)

Most turbo applications these days are with diesel engines, and a fair 
number of turbos migrate to gasolene applications.  The Calloway 944 
conversion used a turbo from IHI(Ishimodo[sp?] Heavy Industries), 
originally designed for diesels.
