yes (by two taps you mean a second one the other way?), but does yours
stop opening if you hold the button down for say, 1/3 open window? Or
do you *have* to use the two tap system?

Yes, I think he is describing some strange quirk which may be related to
voltage - there is an "X" connection, which corresponds to key "on",
this is 12 volts when engine is off, but 13-14 when the engine is on.
Though I can't see why this would matter.
