Re: What are these lights?
from what i gather the bad bulbs are ones that are simply
coated blue, they cut out too much of the yellow light spectrum
which you need for visibility, and create too much glare for
both oncoming cars and for the yourself when it's raining or
foggy.
the philips dichroic bulb is supposed to reach a happy medium
letting more blue light through for sharpness clarity without
affecting the yellow spectrum.
mbz.org mentions the philips "weather vision" aka "all weather"
in a positively light, but at the time that this was written it was
not available in the u.s.
