Yes, that was me. Sorry I haven't answered your last request yet, Huw.
But I don't have access to the wiring diagram at the moment. The
original Audi manual says that the 'auto-up'-feature only works when
the engine is running for security reasons. It is not enough to turn
on the ignition.
I came across this when I replaced the lights for the electric mirror
controls. After reassembly I tried the power windows with the igntion
on and the 'up' feature didn't work. I was angry with myself because I
thought I had messed up something. But one day it worked again (engine
running).
Don't ask me how they wired this. Only God knows. Maybe it's in one of
the aftermarket manuals I have. I will have a look at the wiring
diagram at the weekend, this time I promise.
