Re: auot up/down power windows
Huw,
I now have the wiring diagram for a type 89 Audi 80/90 before me. The
system involves the power window control unit, the motor, the driver's
door switch, the power window switch and the oil pressure switch.
The control unit is connected to:
- X-relay (control unit terminal 1/15, 1mm black/blue)
- power window switch terminal 5 (teminal15/85b, yellow/brown)
- oil pressure switch -> Yippieaieh, engine is running, activate
'Up-feature' (4/61, 0.5mm blue)
- terminal 30 (constant 12V) (2/30, 2.5mm red/black) fused
- power window switch terminal 3 (11/87a, 1.5mm brown/white)
- driver's door switch (7, 0.5mm brown/white)
- again driver's door switch, different terminal (5/TK1, 0.5mm
brown/black)
- ground (14/31, 1.5mm brown)
- power window switch terminal 2 (12/86, 1mm yellow/blue)
- power window switch terminal 1(13/85, 1mm black/red)
- terminal 4 of all other window switches (8/87, 2.5mm red/black)
The window motor is connected between terminal 1 and 2 of the window
switch.
Hope this is of some help.
Peter
