more low end torque thread cont'd

for my '87 5kcstq...

After much thread reading, I've decided to start my h.p. increase with a 
simple chip & wg spring upgrade--and hope it passes CARB testing!

I've heard/read good things about Intended Acceleration's Stage I mod. 
Anyone else?  Anyone in CA get it smog tested w/this?  It's $795, a wee 
pricey.

There's also a similar deal from 2Bennett--a "stage I" chip & spring for 
$395.  Anyone try this one?  For half the price, it's enticing.  But it 
it's another T.A.P., fohgedaboutit.
