Re: 200tq slow start

Matt,

Hi. I don't know if this is your problem but I had a similar experience
with my 1986 Audi 5K. About 2 years ago it developed a starting
problem. It acted like a fuel problem since I had to crank on it easily
over a minute before it would fire. Once it started it was fine. You
could shut the car back off and start it again immediately with no
problems. I took it to my trusted Audi mechanic and he said the problem
was in a check valve located inside the fuel tank or on the rear fuel
pump. (I can't remember which). I think it was inside the fuel tank.
At any rate, he replaced the check valve and the car ran flawlessly
again. Hope this information helps. Good Luck!
