Ooooh. Do I have a story about mechanics and fluid levels for you...

Took my Probe GT in for scheduled auto tranny service (Ford Dealer). Got
it back, everything's seems OK.

Two weeks later, performance starts suffering - no passing power, being
passed by Hyundai's, no top end power, etc.

Third week I'm really concerned, so I take it to another dealer (yeah,
Ford). When they check it out, they find that the "mechanic" at the
first shop left several bolts and a gasket out of the trans oil pan -
most of the fluid leaked out during the previous three weeks, thus
burning up the trans.

Needless, I raised bloody hell throuhought the Ford network and got a
completely rebuilt trans! Total value of the work was over $2k.

Dealers and the word trust in the same sentence? I think not. Watch out.
