Also, 
	the half ton designation was started in the 50's.  Like most
things, the performance has improved and a 1/2 ton truck now can carry
much more than a 1,000 lb load.  That is left for the small Sport Utes.  1
ton trucks can carry MUCH more than 2,000lbs as well.  THey just kept the
designations.  Confusing but odd.  Seems every new model can carry more
than the last one.  WHat can a 1/2 ton dodge Carry, 2,000 lbs by now I
would guess.   L8R
