I'll expand on that to say that even the starter turning the engine over
is fast enough to introduce the valves to the pistons. (Yes, most of
you can assume why I know this!)
However, if you're lucky, you'll only bend the intake valves which are
relatively cheap compared to the sodium-filled exhaust valve$!
