Clutch R&R is Done!

Yay,
It is 3:00 but I am done. I now have a new Clutch, New output
shaft seals, a new CV boot and a clean tranny :-)	Took forever but
it is done. BTW, I was looking at a BMW 320i on a lift yesterday right in
the middle of putting mine back in and I got Jealous. That thing had a
Tiny Tranny. 1/3 the size. I guess when you dont need to stuff 2 extra
differentials in there you can do that. :-)
Anyhow, I did the Metal Throwout Bearing sleeve, Ne TO bearing,
etc. Clutch is VERY light now. Wow. ANd engages right off the floor.
BUT-my shifter is a little off. Hard to put in reverse, etc. I
assume I adjust that little bar that is at the front of the tranny from
the shift linkage ( goes from lincage accross tranny, locator arm maybe)
Which way should I try going first. Reverse is like it wont quite go in
buut then when you go it is in, barely)
Second-I noticed that my Firewall is cracked, as are m any :-)
The EC issue said that that was caused from clutch mis-adjustment. WHAt
adjustment? We dont have a djustable clutches. Do they mean the actual
pedal?
Anyhow, Thankyou to all those that gave me advice through this
process. Now that I know the car inside out I think I am Finally ready to
tackle this Turbo Conversion on my Other Car. At lease I can take my time
with it. L8R
