My mechanic says that the fuel pump is not coming on the first time I
turn the key. Could this be the relay?

After ~30 mins, the car bucks at 3000 RPM (in at least 1st, 2nd, &
3rd). WHen I first start it up, the car does not buck over 3000 RPM.
When it does stall, I have to pump the gas to get it to start up
again.
On a previous suggestion, I changed the plugs a few days ago. They
were coated with a black oil-like substance that I'm told is petrol
from a rich mixture. The housings were pretty well coated as well.
I plan to take the car to Clair Audi in Dedham, MA. I'm looking for
any tips on how to point them in the right direction. If it's
something simple, I'll give it a shot as well.
At this point I plan to tell them what I have written above...
