Re: oil change interval w/mobil 1

I just got my 86 5k tq recently, and changing over to synth. Just one quick
question.

"howard i've used mobil 1 15 - 50 for almost three years and i change it every
3000 - 3500 miles. at that mileage my lifters always tell me its time to renew."

Why are you changing your oil so often? Isn't one of the characteristics of
synth is to last much longer 15-20k before it starts braking down?
