Ignition Switch-1990 200tq 10v

I took my car the battery store to get a battery this morning. When I turned
the key inthe ignition with the jumper battery on it to move it into the
shop, nothing happened.  The switch acts funny like it does not engage. The
car started by letting it back down the hill about 5 ft.  I can't find
anything in the Bently about this switch, how to get it out, how to repair
it,zip.  What are my options?  Thanks.
