According to my VW supplied interchange this is the same block. Now, I am not suggesting
that is is a reasonable task, switching the two. I'm positive that there are sensors and
accessories that have holes drilled or not for each application or whatever. If you have
definitive information to the contrary, please let me know. I try to make it my business
to know these things.
