I can't imagine that car spinning tires at anything above 20mph unless it
is wet out. The new '98 STS has better chassis control, and torque steer
is much better. If you know how to put your foot down smoothly, you can
get off the line cleanly with no tire spin, using nearly all of the power.
Anyway, it isn't a sports car. Its a nice cruiser.
Besides that, the STS' greatest fault is not actually its fwd, it is the
poor suspension control over bumps. I am not impressed with its handling
over rough roads. It can step out in a turn if the road gets too rough.
The 5000 Quattro is relatively benign in a similar turn.
