Haven't heard anything about  longitudinal Haldex application yet.  We've
had the T*rs*n equipped syncros (2.8, 1.8, TDI, not the 1.8T) for a while.
As far as the 2.8 syncro, you are treading into Audi price territory, and
our customers are stepping into 1.8T A6's or 2.4 A4's (in FWD applications)
for about the same money here.  Only people who want to be totally incognito
seem interested in the 2.8 syncro.  The TDI syncro wagon is a fine tool for
those who thought they need a silly SUV but have come to terms with their
inner self.

Most of our crossover comes with 1.8T Passat buyers who'd like to look at
1.8T A4's.  There the price advantage lies with the Passat, the A4 being 15%
more expensive.  The Audi image, the buying/ownership experience is what we
sell with Audi.  Not to mention quality.  I obviously won't put down the
Passat, but there are some obvious outcomes when you make a bigger car on
the same platform, yet have to price it cheaper.  Just do a back-to-back
drive of both 2.8's, and if you are still not convinced, check your
"Handbuch Service Technik"...
