It is an old adage in marketing that if you don't eat your own children,
someone else will.  Personally, I dislike the idea of any company telling
me that, if I want this particular size and that particular feature, I
_HAVE_ to take XYZ.  Audi (UK) are buggers for it - if I want quattro
on an A4, I _have_ to take a 2.8l.  Result - I will _NEVER_ own an A4.

And beware - the idiot responsible for the above is now running AoA.

IBM learnt the hard way - refusing to compete with your own products
makes it much easier for competitors to get a share.
