Personally I think this is a fantastic idea. A website where we could all
work on our own versions of the 'nur-q' (thanks Derek)
To be honest, I don't have the faintest clue about building a website...but
I suppose I can learn if someone with experience doesn't step up to plate.
Photoshop really would be the best program to use, as it has a layers
feature. For those lister's who aren't familiar with photoshop:
Basically, you can build a picture in different layers, imagine a number of
transparencies each with a little bit on them...put them together and
'voila!' Different layers can be viewed together, seperately, or a
combination of the above. Unfortunetly, in order to keep different layers
viewable (as opposed to seeing all five at once) you must save in the
Photoshop .pfd format.
Conceivably, the website could offer a the various bits of a car as
seperate photos (in the same scale). For instance, if we could find it,
there could be a picture of _just_ the chassis, to which you could 'paste'
different engines, tires, etc. We could go as far as having each portion
of the car being a different layer...thus perhaps choosing the 'best of'
and creating a group nur-q.
The difficulty with this system is that everyone must have Adobe photoshop,
or the working demo (availible for Mac and PC). And the graphics would be
large...between 1 and 1x megs depending on the number of layers. Plus, you
would have to download the file to view all the layers.
I'm certainly in, and if no one else wants to step up to do it...I suppose
I can start.

Hmmm, anyone want to host this????
P.S. Derek, sorry about the repeat.
