Picture me trying to describe the problem to Orin and him responding
"The computer _can't_ do that." To which I had the brilliant response,
"Well, _something's_ making it happen!" <grin>

Actually, I took a closer look at the hose when I replaced it (full
boost now, thank you!), and at the point where the reinforcing had
broken, the hose was actually getting _shorter_ in length! This caused
the extra hose wall to bunch up creating a very effective turbo inlet
restrictor of only about 30mm in diameter!

And it just goes to prove that even if a supposedly temporary solution
(Hey, I was trying to get ready for AudiFest '98!) works very well, you
shouldn't consider to be anything more than that: temporary!

Now it's off to the drawing board to figure out the lengths and angles
to build a proper intake.
