There is a shareware program available (Palm Pilot HQ, not a criminal site,
just a shareware site...) which allows you to program the Pilot with any IR
device (Intended for TV/VCR/Tuner type stuff). It simply records the IR
pulse sequence and then plays it back. Unfortunately, when I tried this with
my '93 90CSQ, it didn't work very well. I don't think the Pilot puts out a
bright enough IR signal. It only worked about 1 out of 20-30 tries. And only
then could I get it to LOCK the car, I never got it to UNLOCK the car.
Remember, you have to get the code before you can use it, so it would be
difficult to use a Pilot to break into ANY keyless Audi. There are probably
about as many IR codes as there are physical keys, so I wouldn't worry too
much.
