     I have used AMOCO for 100k on the V8 and 47k on the 100CS -- no 
probs due to fuel.  For some reason the 02 sensor can be bad and not 
show on the Audi dealer's equipment. Univ. said my O2 sensor was okay 
-- I told them to change it anyway... took care of the surging. This 
has happened on both Audis.
