the center diff seal can be replaced with the diff/trans in situ.
drop the front of the propshaft, unbolt the ctr diff gear carrier housing
(needs 6mm hex socket with at least 2" length hex bit) and take it to a press.
you may also want to replace the bearing since that will come out to get to
the seal. there is an o-ring seal for the housing which you should also
replace.
there is a propshaft-to-flange seal which may also need replacing.
you will lose some tranny fluid during the procedure.
a good shop should be able to do it in an hour or so.
