I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded to my question...especially Bob, Chris, and Frank.  I am going to check these "bushings" first, and if it isn't that, I'll take Frank's advice.

I'm glad to know because I really want to do a lot of work (incuding this) to the car over the upcoming holidays.
