Amen. It looks, IMHO, like the same sort of "congealed slug" rear end the
current Tauruses suffer from. On the other hand, the front is very  muscular
and visually pleasing, and the Avants manage to escape the A6 sedan's rear.
I suspect that a future S6 avant would be a very nice car.

I'd have to agree, I think BMW has (in the last few years) had the fewest
styling pitfalls. I prefer the styling of the A4s over the 3-series cars,
and the A8s are on a par with the 7-series, but if you put an A6 alongside
the 5-series and look from behind...
