My '84 4ks went from 70,000 miles to 210,000 miles with a _very_ stiff
clutch pedal. Then the throwout arm broke inside the bell housing. New
clutch was installed and it is the easiest to push out of my 4 Audi's
despite being cable driven. Never broke through the firewall though.
Prolly because it hinges on the pedal cluster rather than the firewall.
