Re: Stereo upgrades
Rockford- Fosgate has a set of "metric" 4's that fit into the spot left
by the old speakers in the front of a 90 100. The old speakers are
"clipped" in with a spring type thing. One of my OEM's literally melted
so I was not concerned with keeping it. But a small blade screwdriver
is what I used, just keep wiggling until you find the spring. Can't
help you with the wagon feature, but can give one word of advice: IF
you do decide on going to a shop to have stuff installed, be SURE they
have worked on your model before. Radio City (Maine) said, "Oh yeah, no
problem, an 8" woofer will fit in the rear deck on that 85 4ksq. No
problem." They didn't realize there is a double metal deck under the
fiberboard AND under this double decking is a 18.5 gallon gas tank,
which is not designed for spund reproduction. Sold the 4k with an empty
8" speaker grill on the rear deck.
