Stereo upgrades

How have folks dealt with speaker upgrades on a 200 wagon (or any model)
Seems like the rear two peice speakers are worth keeping, but the front
speakers in the dash (how do you get those out anyway?) need to be
changed and a subwoofer added. The wagon seems to have lots of spots to
tuck away extra amps, but the speaker question has me scratching my
head.
