foiled by critters

Curses, foiled again!

Today I went to work as usual, driving my 80q. I noticed that it was
missing a little under acceleration, and seemed to idle a bit on the rough
side. Didn't think too much of it until I looked under the hood this
evening. All the plug wires had strange abrasions on it, and one was worn
right through the insulation to bare wires! Not until I looked at it under
the halogen work lamp that I noticed strange teeth marks! Apparently hungry
critters have taken a liking to rubber (probably because it's finally
winter in Colorado).

So to make a long story short, I'm going to have to replace a whole set of
plug wires and some vacuum hoses (small marks). But my bigger concern is..
how to keep those rubber-fetish rodents out of my Q? Garage is not an
option, the Porsche already takes up the space... uh-oh, gonna have to
check that, too. :(

Any suggestions for an anti-chewable defense? Seems like "quattro-peds"
like quattro cars.

'88 80q (delicious to drive, apparently tasty too)

PS- anyone noticing a "Illegal Bin Hex" (83UrQ) attachment in their
q-digest? I'm using Eudora Light and can't seem to bypass that particular
message to get the rest of my mail?
