Is the cold air from center vents "normal" on a 4k?

I was just reading Pat Martins instructions on doing the turbo motor
convertions. It's pretty funny I might add. I got to the section where he is
explaining the removal of the dash on the 4k, and he mentions something like
"For those of you that hate the cool air 'feature' of the center vent...." .
I take it from that comment that the cold air coming out of my center vents
is a normal thing. If it is normal....why? What would make them think that I
would want cold air blowing on me when it's 10 degrees outside? So far it's
been no big deal, I just keep the center vents closed, but it would be nice
to get warm air to come out of them (in the winter that is).

Pat also mentions that Huw Powell has instructions on how to fix this
"feature", does anyone know where I may find that?

I seem to find out something new about this car everyday.
