I would not be so sure.Out of all the European speck car tests I have seen all
specify the cars weight as ~2800 lbs.
That is exactly the same number as for the US speck 4kq.
The only difference I could see between the Euro and US was the bumpers, Air
conditioning, cruise and maybe power windows.
Remove some of those items and you wil probably be so close to 4kq's weight you
will not be able to feel the difference. Add Ur-q's wider track and
possibility for wider rubber and on the track it might be even to the Ur-q's
advantage (assuming they have the same engine).
Sure you can make the 4kq lighter too but by adding a turbo engine you also add
some of that back and Ur-q already has it..
Keep in mind also that cars feel different even though the same kind.
I have driven my friends 4kq and it feels like a totally different car. The
steering feel clutch feel the gearshift change. All of those thigs felt as if
I was in a different car (larger and less responsive).
