Re: Which Quattro to buy?

BOSS3854@aol.com decided to speak these words:

>I'm a 17 year old student and I want to buy an Audi.
>I know i want a turbo-quattro. First of all, did the Ur-quattro's ever
>come to
>the US(I'm thinking of the rare coupe's, i could be wrong) and how much do
>these run for now? basically i want to know what Audi to buy as a first one,
>however i'd prefer the coupe.

Well, since this was directed to me, i feel obligated to reply.

If you have the budget, figure an average over a year of about 100-150 a
month in repairs....sometimes nothing in a month, sometimes 500...it
happens like that, then you can get whatever you want.

I personally can afford that, so i drive an urquattro. They came to the
US from 83-85.... I got mine for 1700, but it is a rare
thing...hehe....anyway, most of the time you can get them for about 6000
for a decent one that will need repairs, to about 10,000 or so for a
pristine one with the stock engine. From what i can tell, cars like
mine, with the updated MC engine installed go for at least a few thousand
more....am i right everyone?

If you really want the coupe, i have a friend who is selling his 83 UrQ,
beautiful, i think for about 8000 or so....

Either that, or a 5000 turbo quattro is always a nice car, just too big
for my taste....

later...
