       Nach Aufbrauch der bisherigen DS-Regler (ein
       Warnschalter) wird nur noch der neue DS-Regler
       mit zwei Warnschaltern geliefert, d.h., bei
       Einbau eines neuen DS-Reglers in Fahrzeuge
       vor Fg.-Nr. 85CA 901 032 sind die beiden
       geaenderten Halteplatten mit zu werwenden.
       Der zweite Warnschalter ist in diesem Fall als
       Verschlussstopfen anzusehen."

I must confess to wondering just how confused any poor bugger who
discovered this on their car would be.  You're the first, to my
knowledge.

Anyway:

      "During repairs the following should be noted:

       Once supplies of the previously-used pressure
       regulator are used up, only the new pressure
       regulator with two warning switches will be shipped.
       This means that when a new regulator is fitted to
       a car with a chassis number below 85CA 901 032,
       both of the altered brackets are to be used.  In
       such a case, the second warning switch should
       be regarded as a sealing plug."
