Yes, that IS the best deal yet - the core charge is nominal - $10 or $20 or
so. the reason this is such a good deal is that in the OEM rack there is a
sleeve that wears, and then the seals start to leak. Replacing the seals -
which is a PITA job - just means they'll last a short while until the worn
sleeve ruins them, too.
Jorgen puts a stainless steel sleeve on the rack, guarantees it for as long
as you own it AND offers a three hour third party labor guarantee as well
(for a year). What that means in English is that if you pay someone to
install one of their racks and it goes bad in the first year, not only will
they give you another one, but they'll pay three hours of your mechanic's
time to replace it.
I call that standing behind your product! Jorgen is wholesale only, but it
isn't terribly difficult to convince them that you are in the car biz (and
what older Audi owner isn't?). I *think* they'll sell retail, but the price
is higher.
