I looked this up in Mr. Bentley the other day.

I found that paragraph under "disconnecting battery", but there
was no mention ANYWHERE about how to reestablish the basic setting.

Also, in the section on disconnecting the TCM from power (which you
must do anytime you are doing wierd power things), there is no
mention of doing this procedure with the 1551.

I wouldn't worry about it. Not even Audi would be stupid enough
to design a car that wouldn't work right after a dead battery
was jumped or replaced.
