On my '86 4kcsq there is a triangular grill, about 2 - 3 inches at the
hypotenuse on either side of the instrument panel housing.  They pop out
with minor prying (no tools required, just fingernails).  Inside that
grill is the back end of the bulb receptacle for illuminating the
instrument panel.  I had mine out a few weeks ago to repair the odometer
and got a good look at all of it.  Beware, however, as even with the
entire cluster on my dining room table, it was difficult to unscrew the
bulb receptacle the partial turn it took to remove a bulb and replace
it.  Enjoy
