Brake MC interch. question

I have a question on the interchangeability of brake master cylinders.

Can I put the MC from an 85 5ks on an 88 5kcst?  The latter has ABS
but the former does not.  The former is aluminum, the latter is cast
iron.

Any comments or info would be appreciated.
