V8Q 0-60

Steve's post about 0-60 for the 5 spd V8Q made me think about what the 
benchmark for my automatic V8Q ought to be. One old review I got from
excite said 10 seconds, and another said 8.7. In the year that I've owned
the car I've had occasion to have a couple of toll-both derbys which
suggest it's faster than this. One was against some guy in a Tracer who
acted nutty and kept cutting me off. His was the fancy Tracer  with
the big Mazda engine which I remember did 0-60 in 8.2 because I almost
bought one in the early 1990s. More recently I wound up having to squeeze
in front of a Bonneville SSI as two lanes were converging to one and i
couldn't drop back. These are substantial V8s too. I'm thinking 0-60 in
8.0 - 8.2 sounds more realistic.
