Static shock, a possible solution.

Good morning! Gates makes a nice ground strap that can be affixed to
your car to reduce/eliminate the static build up. BMWs suffer from this
malady, a problem that has been addressed on a technicians list to which
I belong. Gates 90337 (in the USA). We recently installed one on a
customer's car, and it appears to have made the problem go away. I've
been told that the quest for tires offering lower rolling resistance and
resultant higher fuel economy numbers has contributed to this problem,
and that Michelins of a few years back were among the worst offenders.
