I saw a story just like this in the Boston Globe several years ago,
only there was no snowmobile. The wife had dumped a cockroach in
the toilet followed by vast amounts of spray insecticide. This was
in Israel and it had come from the news wire. Two years ago I saw
an article about a man in Ohio. He had done some work and cleaned
his hands and arms with gasoline. Then he walked through the kitchen
where something was cooking on the gas stove. Needless to say he burst
into flame.
Believe the warnings on the labels of hazardous products. I have a
Material Safety Data Sheet for some wood stain that states not to
pour it from more than a certain height as friction may produce a static
spark and ignite it. As hard a time as I have believing that this could
happen, I am not going to try it.
