AUDI QUESTIONS

I have a few basic Audi questions and a maintenance question.  Please bear
with a new Audi owner. Car is a 95 A6Q if it matters.
1.  Why is the radio hard wired?  Why doesn't it go with the ignition like
other cars?  I don't think it's a German thing, because my Porsche wasn't
this way.  I'm just curious what the reason is.   It doesn't annoy me that
much.
2.  Why is the Passenger side mirror smaller than the Driver's side?  I
would have probably never caught it, but it annoys my wife a little as she's
big on balance and stuff.
3.  What do you use to clean the soft cloth on the pillars, headliner, ect.
My wife went to get a new emissions stick and the wrench ended up leaving a
few light stains on the windshield pillar removing/installing the new
sticker.
