1.  It's a German thing.  I like it.
2.  Dunno.  New models have the same size (larger) on both.
3.  Take it back to the dealer and ask for a complimentary detailing.  Get
the coupon and then take it home and wipe it with a cotton cloth dampened
with a dilute cleaner like Murphy's Oil Soap or Carpet Cleaner.  If it's
the leather or synthetic leather, use a leather cleaner.
