update on 88 80 Q.clutch on floor!

high all,
well, I got my car up on Jack's today and preceded to crawl around 
underneath,  found the lower slave cylinder's bleed valve and preceded 
to unscrew it a little bit to try and bleed the thing.
Once opened up a little bit, it seems all the oil that was in the master 
cylinder came out, now there is no pressure at all on the clutch, I mean 
none!
What does this mean?  I tried pumping clutch to get more oil back in 
both cylinders, but nothing happened, all I could hear was a hissing 
sound coming from the slave cylinder bleed valve,AND the master 
cylinder, oil never came out, seems there is no suction in the system is 
that because the master cylinder is history?

Also, I was wondering if you know when the shocks go out, how many 
miles?  it has hundred and 33,000mi on it and counting.
